    Roers is looking for an Accounting Intern that is currently enrolled in a four year accounting degree program or graduate program that is eager to learn and gain Accounting experience. The candidate should have a desire to grow in the following areas; Construction Accounting, Cost Management, Financial Analysis, Strategic Planning, Tax and Cash Management. Open to various professional accounting or finance assignments including coordinating, preparing, and analyzing financial information and reports.

    The Qualified Intern Candidate Must:

    • Be experienced in Microsoft Office applications including, Excel, Word and Outlook, QuickBooks experience preferred
    • Be enrolled in a four year accounting degree program or graduate program (Junior or Senior preferred)
    • Have a productive curiosity about accounting business systems: why a company is profitable, how it gets customers, etc.
    • Be an active listener
    • Have progressing organizational, verbal and written communication skills


    Key Intern Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Assist with year-end closing of multiple entities
    • Assist with special projects as requested
    • Processing, reviewing, tracking, and general ledger posting of construction draws for multiple projects
    • Monthly financial variance analysis
    • Weekly property reporting
    • Communicate with site staff and management to ensure data integrity
    • Reconcile bank accounts
    • Preparing and management monthly billing


    Currently enrolled in a four year accounting degree program or graduate program.
